“This is a fraud on the American public” – Trump Says Election Will be taken to Supreme Court
“We don’t want them to find ballots at 4 o’clock in the morning and add them to the list,” he said.
During a White house address delivered early Wednesday morning after Election Day, President Trump called the decision by a few key states to put an end to their vote count a “fraud on the American public.”
After running through a list of “big victories” his campaign had achieved on Wednesday, Trump said “all of a sudden everything just stopped.”
“This is a fraud on the American public,” the president said. “This is an embarrassment to our country.”
Trump would go to say that for the good of the nation “we will be going to the U.S. supreme court” and that he and his team want all voting to stop.
“We don’t want them to find ballots at 4 o’clock in the morning and add them to the list,” he said.
Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nevada, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Georgia still have not reached a full vote count as on 8a.m EST on Wednesday.
Allegheny County, a key county in Pennsylvania said early Wednesday morning that they would pause vote counting for about eight hours until they reconvened later in the day.
According to PA election officials, most of the metropolitan mailed-in votes were yet to be counted as it is expect that a full vote count will not be achieved until Friday.
Election officials in Nevada and Georgia had also put an end to vote counting early in order to start again later Wednesday.
