According to a representative of the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General, 112 absentee ballots for the Jeffersontown area of Louisville were found in the dumpster after special agents responded to a report of undelivered mail being found by a construction contractor.

On Friday, the postal service confirmed to local news that the individual responsible for trashing the ballots was as an employee of the USPS and has been terminated.

USPS Special Agent Scott Balfour told Newsweek that the ballots were returned to the Postal Service and were delivered to their recipients on Thursday.

“When the investigation is concluded, the case will be presented for federal prosecution to the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Balfour said while confirming it was indeed a USPS worker who dumped the mail.

The incident sparked a response via Twitter from Kentucky representative Thomas Massie:

This is the latest in a string of incidents in which ballots have been found in questionable locations across the US.

A resident of Mesa County, Colorado recently found a stack of ballots laying in the bushes while walking his dog.

“There was ballots from multiple addresses on roads that were anywhere from a half to a mile away from where they were found,” the man told local news.

The Mesa County Clerk and Recorder’s Office would shrug off the incident, stating: “This is an isolated incident. It has been going on for a little bit of time, a short period of time, where vandals are going into mailboxes.”

Vandals have also been targeting mail containing ballots in Nampa, Idaho where police say there has been a recent uptick in mail theft.

In September, the DOJ confirmed a handful of ballots cast by members of the military for President Trump were found discarded in Pennsylvania.

There has also been a U.S. Postal Service investigation opened over three trays of mail found in a ditch in Greensville, Wisconsin. A spokesman for the postal service would confirm that the mail included absentee ballots.

After footage emerged of Joe Biden bragging about withholding $1 billion in US loan guarantees unless the country’s chief prosecutor Victor Shokin was fired, the MSM scrambled to cover for the former Vice President – ‘debunking’ claims that Biden’s quid-pro-quo had anything to do with the fact that Shokin was investigating Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company which hired Hunter Biden to sit on its board.

“The firing of Shokin was universally urged by Ukraine’s benefactors,” writes the Washington Post, citing former Ukrainian foreign minister, Pavlo Klimkin. Yet, beyond hearsay, there’s zero evidence Shokin was corrupt.

Except that Shokin’s successor, Yiuri Lutsenko, said in a January 2019 deposition that Shokin is ‘honest,’ while Shokin says that Burisma founder Nikolay Zlochevsky hired Hunter Biden and his associate Devon Archer ‘to protect himself,’ according to the depositions which were released by the US State Department.

Now, a new email has emerged from Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi to Hunter Biden and Devon Archer laying out a series of “deliverables” he sought for the company, according to Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson.

In the Nov. 2, 2015 email, which has not been independently verified (though the Biden camp did not dispute their authenticity), Pozharskyi told Biden and Archer that he wanted “high-ranking U.S. officials to express their ‘positive opinion of Burisma.'”

“The scope of work should also include organization of a visit of a number of widely recognized and influential current and/or former US policy-makers to Ukraine in November,” wrote Pozharskyi, adding that the goal was to “bring positive signal/message and support on Nikolay’s issue to the Ukrainian top officials above with the ultimate purpose to close down for any cases/pursuits against Nikolay in Ukraine.“

Meanwhile, in a Friday interview with Fox & Friends, Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani – whose hands the Biden emails fell into after a Delaware computer shop owner said a man he believes to be Hunter Biden dropped off the laptop for repair in April, 2019 but never picked it up – teased much more to come.

In addition to devastating emails which reveal Hunter offering to introduce his father to a Burisma adviser, and that he made millions of dollars to make ‘introductions’ in China, the laptop contains several pictures of Biden smoking crack, as well as a purported sex tape. According to OANN‘s Chanel Rion, there are ‘underage obsessions’ which ‘makes Anthony Weiner’s down under selfie addiction look normal.’

If just a quarter of what Rudy Giuliani alleges is true, the evidence contained on the laptop is, finally, the true smoking gun.  This isn’t some salacious accusations bundled by a hired spy relying on Russian disinformation and gossip.  It’s Hunter’s own laptop.  That fact alone could be an enormous blow to the Biden campaign.

Giuliani released bombshell after bombshell in a video released Wednesday evening after the media did their best to censor the N.Y. Post article — making the social media censorship even more damning to those who tried to hide it from the public.  Since receiving the copy of the hard drive, Giuliani has been poring through it, carefully documenting and preparing his prosecution.  What he says he found is the actual evidence of payments, the money-laundering scheme they used, “illegal money for bribes,” and how “some of that money from Ukraine … went to Joe Biden.”

Like a prosecutor laying out the case, Giuliani leads off the video with this: “In future days, you will see texts, emails, and photos that demonstrate crimes committed by the Biden crime family — in China (probably most of all), Russia, and several other countries.”

The use of “the Biden crime family” is no mere hyperbole.  Before Rudy Giuliani was “America’s Mayor,” he was one of America’s top prosecutors, which included bringing down mafia crime families.  And he has evidence — from Hunter — that implicates not only Hunter and Joe Biden, but also James (Joe’s brother) and Sara (James’s wife).  One set of payments from China went to a triad of Bidens: James, Hunter, and Sara.  Don’t worry, Giuliani says — you’re going to see it in the texts, not making it up.

The fact he was one of America’s top prosecutors makes the ending of the video even more damning: “I’ve been in this business a long time.  This is the biggest cover-up I have ever seen.  And it is the biggest government scandal, I’ve ever heard of.”

Getting back to the beginning, Giuliani continued his introduction, saying, “China has all of the photos that we have — which means [Hunter] is, really, a massive national security threat to the United States.  Since his father lies — about all of this — it’s an easy area of extortion.“

Believe it or not, it gets worse from there for Joe Biden.

Laying out the case further, Giuliani points right at the defendant, accusing Joe of “certainly [committing] a crime.  Because some of that money from Ukraine, illegal money for bribes, went to Joe Biden.”

Remember: these are all accusations after Giuliani has read through the emails, the texts, and the contents of the hard drive.  Unlike the Facebook/Twitter “fact-checker” minions, Giuliani has seen the evidence.

In one of the more damning statements, he says, “China has so many different transactions, it’s going to take a couple of days, if not a week, for us to sort all through them.  But we have them.  … And, basically, this is money that goes to Hunter Biden, James Biden, Sara Biden…and the Biden family.”

He also has evidence of how the money flowed — thanks to a text from Hunter Biden to his daughter, Naomi, that was found on the hard drive.  Giuliani says the text was discussing money, “but in it, [Hunter] makes a very big mistake.  He explains the distribution scheme that the Biden crime family has used for years.”

The text reads, “I love you all, but I don’t receive any respect.  And that’s fine, I guess.  Works for you apparently.  I hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for this entire family for 30 years.”

Giuliani interrupts his reading of the text to wonder why Hunter was paying for everything for the family.  Because, Giuliani speculates, Hunter was getting the money, and they were keeping it, from Joe, so he wouldn’t have to report it.  But he paid, for example, for his half-sister’s entire college education.

Giuliani then returns to the text for the coup de grâce: “It’s really hard.  But don’t worry unlike Pop, I won’t make you give me half your salary.”

“Pop” is Hunter’s name for his dad, Joe Biden.

All of this is really just Rudy’s opening statement.  If the evidence about to be rolled out is even remotely on par with his opening statement, it will be beyond explosive, given the source: Hunter’s own laptop.

A text message from an Apple computer purportedly once owned by Hunter Biden reveals the family’s system for distributing money earned through influence peddling, according to President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani.

The message, Giuliani said Wednesday on his “Common Sense” video podcast, showed members of “the Biden crime family” were to give half of their profits to “pop,” Joe Biden.

The former New York City mayor held up a text from Hunter Biden to his daughter Naomi Biden that exposes a “distribution scheme that the Biden crime family has had for years.”

Hunter wrote, according to Giuliani: “I love you all but I don’t receive any respect, and that’s fine, I guess. Works for you, apparently. I hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for this entire family for thirty years.”

In 2020, we have been watching hundreds of thousands of Americans relocate, gun sales have shattered all previous levels, and people are purchasing and storing huge stockpiles of food.  We have seen the American people get deeply concerned about the future before, but we have never seen anything quite like this.  It is definitely a major life decision to pack up everything you own and move to another part of the country, but that is precisely what countless Americans have been doing in recent months.  WABC wanted to know precisely how many people have been doing this in New York City, and the information that they were able to get from the United States Postal Service really surprised them…

7 On Your Side Investigates requested from the United States Postal Service how many families requested a change of address and moved to zip codes outside of New York City, and the numbers are big.

In fact, those numbers show that over 246,000 New Yorkers “have filed a change of address request” just since the month of March…

Overall since March, more than 246,000 people have filed a change of address request. That’s an almost 100% increase compared to the same time period in 2019.

Of course people have been moving away from other major cities in very large numbers as well, and this has created a tremendous glut of empty apartments that need to be filled.

Because there is now so much supply and so little demand, apartment rental prices have been plummeting, and this has especially been the case in the San Francisco area…

San Francisco saw the prices fall the furthest in September, according to data from Realtor.com, with costs for a one-bedroom unit falling by 24.2%.

Two other cities in California – San Mateo and Santa Clara – experienced the second and third largest drop in average one-bedroom rent prices, followed by Suffolk, Mass., and Manhattan.

Meanwhile, demand for housing in desirable rural and suburban areas has been skyrocketing.

For example, we are being told that there is a “stunning real estate boom” going on in Maine right now…

At this point, so many Americans are stockpiling food that it has actually caused a very serious shortage of Mason jars…

COVID-19 has caused shortages in coins, lumber and even aluminum cans. Now, add Mason jars to the list.

According to one small business owner, a twelve pack of jars will now often sell for “as much as $70”…

“Some of them are as much as $70 for one 12 twelve pack of jars and they should be between $10 and $12 but nothing less than $20 dollars for a box of jars. So we can’t sell them at that, you know you just can’t make money doing that,” said Robin Hannon, owner of Timmy Crack Corn.

So why are so many Americans going to such extremes all of a sudden?

Well, there is no easy answer.

Of course many are concerned about the upcoming election, but that will come and go.

Others are worried that the next wave of the coronavirus pandemic could be even worse than what we have already experienced, but by now it has become clear that this isn’t the sort of pandemic that is going to kill millions of us.

Some people that I talk to believe that our economic problems and the civil unrest in our major cities will get worse, and I agree with that assessment.

But is that really a reason to pack up everything and head for the hills?

Ultimately, I think that many Americans understand that everything that we have been through so far is just the leading edge of something much larger.

Whether you want to call it “the big meltdown”, “the collapse of society” or “the perfect storm”, the truth is that the party is ending.

Every day we get more evidence that our society is unraveling right in front of our eyes, and I work very hard to document that evidence for my readers.

We are heading into times that are going to be absolutely catastrophic for our nation, and on a gut level a lot of people out there know that this is true.

So we should certainly not blame anyone that wants to move to the middle of nowhere, buy guns and stockpile lots of food.

In the end, the truth is that it is probably what just about all of us should be doing.

C-SPAN’s Steve Scully has admitted he lied when he claimed last week that his Twitter account was “hacked” after getting caught messaging Trump-hater Anthony Scaramucci to coordinate whether he should “respond” to Trump.

C-SPAN suspended its political editor Steve Scully indefinitely Thursday after he admitted to lying about his Twitter feed being hacked when he was confronted about a questionable exchange with former Trump aide Anthony Scaramucci.

[…] Scully said that when he saw his tweet had created a controversy, “I falsely claimed that my Twitter account had been hacked.”

He had been frustrated by Trump’s comments and several weeks of criticism on social media and conservative news outlets about his role as moderator, including attacks directed at his family, he said.

“These were both errors in judgement for which I am totally responsible for,” Scully said. “I apologize.”

[…] C-SPAN said Scully confessed to lying about the hack on Wednesday.

“He understands that he made a serious mistake,” the network said. “We were very saddened by this news and do not condone his actions.”

“I was right again!” Trump said on Twitter after hearing the news. “Steve Scully just admitted he was lying about his Twitter being hacked. The Debate was Rigged! He was suspended from @cspan indefinitely. The Trump Campaign was not treated fairly by the ‘Commission’. Did I show good instincts in being the first to know?”

Sculley’s lie triggered an investigation from the FBI.

“Steve Scully notified us that his Twitter account was hacked,” the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) said in a statement last week. “CPD reported the apparent hack to the FBI and Twitter, and we understand that the federal authorities and Twitter are looking into the issue.”

One can imagine a conservative pulling a similar stunt would be criminally charged for wasting the authorities’ time but seeing as how it’s the FBI, I’m sure they’ll do nothing.

MSNBC’s Joy Reid similarly lied and claimed her old blog which shared the 911 film Loose Change and made comments said to be derogatory towards homosexuals was “hacked” but never admitted to the lie and was never held to account.

Such prosecutions are reserved only for political dissidents like General Mike Flynn and Roger Stone.

Senator Ted Cruz annouced the upcoming vote this afternoon during a break on the last day of Supreme Court confirmation hearings for Judge Amy Coney Barrett.

“Never before have we seen active censorship of a major press publication with serious allegations of corruption of one of the two candidates for president,” Cruz stated.

“This is election interference, and we’re 19 days out from an election. It has no precedent in the history of democracy. The Senate Judiciary Committee wants to know what the hell is going on!” he added.

According to Cruz, the subpoena will call for Dorsey to appear before the committee next Friday.

“Let me be clear, I don’t know if these New York Post stories are true or not,” Cruz went on. “Those are questions Vice President Joe Biden should answer, but Twitter and Facebook and Big Tech billionaires don’t get to censor political speech and actively interfere in the election — that’s what they’re doing right now.”

The New York Post exposé was also suppressed on Facebook after the company’s Policy Communications Manager and lifelong Democrat Party operative Andy Stone said the company had buried the article.

In response to the suppression, New York Post editor Sohrab Ahmari described the move as a “Big Tech Coup” and “digital civil war,” explaining, “I, an editor at The New York Post, one of the nation’s largest papers by circulation, can’t post one of our own stories that details corruption by a major-party presidential candidate, Biden.”

If it’s okay with all of you, I’d like to read you something I personally wrote as I thought about these issues. I’ll also tweet it out now.

I want to start by making something clear: we don’t consider political viewpoints, perspectives, or party affiliation in any of our policies or enforcement decisions. Period. Impartiality is our guiding principle. Let me explain why.

We believe many people use Twitter as a digital public square. They gather from all around the world to see what’s happening, and have a conversation about what they see.

Twitter cannot rightly serve as a public square if it’s constructed around the personal opinions of its makers. We believe a key driver of a thriving public square is the fundamental human right of freedom of opinion and expression.

Our early and strong defense of open and free exchange has enabled Twitter to be THE platform for activists, marginalized communities, whistleblowers, journalists, governments and the most influential people around the world. Twitter will always default to open and free exchange.

A default to free expression left unchecked can generate risks and dangers for people. It’s important Twitter distinguishes between people’s opinions and behaviors, and disarms behavior intending to silence another person, or adversely interfere with their universal human rights.

We build our policies and rules with a principle of impartiality: objective criteria, rather than on the basis of bias, prejudice, or preferring the benefit to one person over another for improper reasons. If we learn we failed to create impartial outcomes, we work hard to fix.

In the spirit of accountability and transparency: recently we failed our intended impartiality. Our algorithms were unfairly filtering 600,000 accounts, including some members of Congress, from our search auto-complete and latest results. We fixed it. But how did it happen?

Our technology was using a decision making criteria that considers the behavior of people following these accounts. We decided that wasn’t fair, and corrected. We‘ll always improve our technology and algorithms to drive healthier usage, and measure the impartiality of outcomes.

Bias in algorithms is an important topic. Our responsibility is to understand, measure, and reduce accidental bias due to factors such as the quality of the data used to train our algorithms. This is an extremely complex challenge facing everyone applying artificial intelligence.

For our part, machine learning teams at Twitter are experimenting with these techniques and developing roadmaps to ensure present and future machine learning models uphold a high standard when it comes to algorithmic fairness. It’s an important step towards ensuring impartiality.

Looking at the data, we analyzed tweets sent by all members of the House and Senate, and found no statistically significant difference between the number of times a tweet by a Democrat is viewed versus a Republican, even after our ranking and filtering of tweets has been applied.

Also, there’s a distinction we need to make clear. When people follow you, you’ve earned that audience. And we have a responsibility to make sure they can see your tweets. We do not have a responsibility, nor you a right, to amplify your tweets to audiences that don’t follow you.

What our algorithms decide to show in shared spaces, like search results, is based on thousands of signals that constantly learn and evolve over time. Some of those signals are engagement, some are the number of abuse reports. We balance all of these to prevent gaming our system.

We acknowledge the growing concern people have of the power held by companies like Twitter. We believe it’s dangerous to ask Twitter to regulate opinions or be the arbiter of truth. We’d rather be judged by the impartiality of outcomes, and criticized when we fail this principle.

In closing, when I think of our work, I think of my mom and dad in St. Louis, a Democrat and a Republican. We had lots of frustrating and heated debates, but looking back, I appreciate I was able to hear and challenge different perspectives. And I appreciate I felt safe to do so.

We believe Twitter helps people connect to something bigger than themselves, shows all the amazing things happening in the world, and all the things we need to acknowledge and address. We‘re constantly learning how to make it freer and healthier for all to participate. Thank you.

Rudy Giuliani hinted last night that there would be more emails from the trove discovered by a Delaware computer repair shop owner (who has shared his story on the record with Fox News). And at 0500ET, the NYPost published another lengthy exposé – at least the second front-page piece in what is shaping up to be a fascinating series – citing never-before-seen emails between Hunter Biden and various individuals connected to a major Chinese energy firm that failed earlier this year after its chairman – a party insider with deep ties to China’s military – was “disappeared” by China’s state security apparatus.

The first of three email chains explored in the story was sent to biden by a man named Jams Gillar, of the international consulting firm J2cR. The email chain discusses what appears to be a generous compensation package for Hunter Biden, along with other individuals whom the Post was apparently unable to identify (though it’s tempting to hazard a guess).

A subject line on the email, dated May 13, 2017 read “Expectations”, and it included details of “remuneration packages” for six individuals involved in the new business venture (the nature of the business wasn’t clear, though it appears to be related to Biden’s international consulting business). However, Biden’s partner in the business appears to be CEFC China Energy, the now-defunct energy firm mentioned above.

The deal also listed “10 Jim” and “10 held by H for the big guy?” Though neither was positively identified.

In another email, sent by Biden as part of a chain dated Aug. 2, 2017, Biden discusses what appears to be a joint venture – a deal structure common in China, where foreign competitors must build partnerships with domestic firms – involving the former Chairman of CEFC, Ye Jianming. Half the ownership was to be held by Hunter and the Biden family.

Ye disappeared in early 2018 and is believed to have had deep connections to China’s intelligence and security services. Though at one point, Biden wrote that Ye had sweetened the terms of an earlier, three-year consulting contract with CEFC that was to pay him $10 million annually “for introductions alone.”

Here’s the excerpt from the NY Post story, accompanied by visual snippets culled directly from the emails, in which Biden asserts that the reason this joint venture is “so much more interesting to me and my family is that we would also be partners in the equity and profits.”

The nature of this ‘venture’ wasn’t made clear.

Biden wrote that Ye had sweetened the terms of an earlier, three-year consulting contract with CEFC that was to pay him $10 million annually “for introductions alone.”

“The chairman changed that deal after we me[t] in MIAMI TO A MUCH MORE LASTING AND LUCRATIVE ARRANGEMENT to create a holding company 50% percent [sic] owned by ME and 50% owned by him,” Biden wrote.

“Consulting fees is one piece of our income stream but the reason this proposal by the chairman was so much more interesting to me and my family is that we would also be partners inn [sic] the equity and profits of the JV’s [joint venture’s] investments.”

What’s more, a photo published by the Post and dated Aug. 1, 2017 shows what appears to be a handwritten flowchart illustrating the ownership structure of “Hudson West”, split 50/50 between two entities ultimately controlled by Hunter Biden and someone else identified only as “Chairman.”

We know from the Senate report released last month that ‘Hudson West III’ was used as a name for one of Hunter Biden’s shell companies formed with Gongwen Dong. To be sure, some details about Biden’s Chinese consulting practice has already been made public, but details of the dealmaking and discussions that went on behind the scenes have not.

Finally, the last in the triptych of distressing email chains is aa copy of an “attorney engagement letter” between Hunter Biden and one of Ye’s top lieutenants, Hong Kong official Chi Ping Patrick Ho.

He agreed to pay Biden a $1 million retainer for “counsel to matters related to US law and advice pertaining to the hiring and legal analysis of any US Law Firm or Lawyer.”

Later, in December 2018, a Manhattan federal jury convicted Ho for being involved in two schemes to pay $3 million in bribes to high-ranking government officials to help obtain oil rights in Chad and lucrative business deals in Uganda.

Ho has served his sentence and was deported to Hong Kong in June.

Neither the Biden Campaign, lawyers for Hunter Biden, Gillar, Dong nor Ho returned requests for comment from the NY Post.

After yesterday’s catastrophe, we look forward to watching Facebook and Twitter scramble to suppress this story as well. We’re beginning to see why the Post has decided to publicize details from the trove piecemeal, instead of writing a 10,000-word NYT-style novel about Hunter Biden’s transgressions.

The NY Post also published a handful of new candidate selfies apparently taken by Hunter Biden along with the story.

It’s a suitable tactic for what some conservatives are calling a “digital civil war” over information that could influence the election in President Trump’s favor.

Prominent Colorado Democrat Khristopher Jacks, who sits on the executive committee for the state’s Democratic party and chairman of leftist organization “Our Revolution” was caught on undercover footage by Project Veritas promoting a violent agenda for far-left Democrats if President Trump wins in November..

“I am going to do everything morally acceptable to win. I will lie. I will cheat. I will steal. Because that’s morally acceptable in this political environment. Absolutely. We are pirates on a pirate ship,” said Jacks, who functions as trainer, mentor and on-the-ground quarterback at Our Revolution protests.

“I want to make this point very loudly and very clearly. I said it nicely before, but I’ll say it more curtly now. 2020 is a political revolution,” he added.

If Trump wins the November election, “I’m gonna be in my garage, right next to my gun safe, all night long, on the 3rd, because that is how seriously I take this stuff,” said Jacks.

Jacks claims the left is “armed and ready to go” in the event of civil war, adding “there’s a reason you guys feared the Communists more than you feared the Nazis.”

“Well, when it comes to civil war, violence type stuff there’s always military guys, like former guys that stand up for the right thing–when that time comes, then we gotta get some of those type people involved,” he said.

Apparently Jeff Bezos is the first guy he’d kill.

Kristopher Jacks: “If you want to do some Versailles shit. If you want to do some Antifa shit. You really want to change this country that way, with violence, there’s only one way to do it. You gotta get people that are close to billionaires and start just, random billionaires start turning up dead. And nobody knows what the f**ks going on. Nobody knows. Nope, I don’t know. They just turned up dead. And just three or four of ‘em is all it’s going to take. All it’s going to take is a pattern of I don’t know, I don’t know man. I don’t know what happened. Just showed up that way. I walked in. That’s how it was. Jacks also condemned moderate Democrats, which he says is ‘half his struggle.’

“It’s with f**kin moderates in the Democratic Party with all these people that are just scared of Trump. ‘Oh my God. I’m so scared. I got to do something,’ which is show up and piss off leftists.”

Plan to control Biden

According to Jacks, if Joe Biden wins the election, he knows the former VP will adopt the radical left’s agenda.

“As long as there’s progressive legislation that comes across his desk, I am confident we can occupy his house. We know where he’ll live, and yeah, he wants to veto Medicare For All. Let him veto it! He’s never leaving that house again without protest.”

There was a time when preppers were relentlessly mocked, but nobody is laughing now.  Today, most Americans are thinking about stockpiling food, and this massive shift in our national mindset has been sparked by concern about what is going to happen in the months ahead.  Many Americans believe that another wave of the coronavirus pandemic is coming, others believe that our ongoing economic depression will get even deeper, and yet others are convinced that the upcoming election could produce widespread violence.  Of course there have always been people that have been deeply alarmed about future events, but we have never seen anything quite like this.  In fact, a brand new survey has found that over half of all Americans are currently planning “to stockpile food and other essentials”…

Slightly more than half of Americans in a recent poll from Sports and Leisure Research Group say they already have or plan to stockpile food and other essentials. The chief reason: fears of a resurgent pandemic, which could lead to disruptions such as new restrictions on businesses. On Oct. 2, the number of COVID-19 cases in the USA was its highest in almost two months.

People still remember the shortages that we witnessed earlier this year when the coronavirus pandemic first erupted in this country, and those that ended up being stuck at home without enough toilet paper would rather not repeat that experience.

So as the mainstream media continues to hype a new wave of the pandemic, we should expect to see Americans hitting the grocery stores really hard.  And according to data company Envestnet Yodlee, there is evidence that this is already happening…

Already, there’s some evidence that grocery sales are rising, according to data from industry sources. The typical bill for a trip to the grocery store rose to $72 for the week ended October 6, or 11% higher from the week before, according to data company Envestnet Yodlee.

“That’s the highest we’ve seen since the first week of June and the second-highest since we started tracking this in January,” said Bill Parsons, group president of data and analytics at Evestnet.

Fortunately, many grocery store chains anticipated a spike in demand in advance and started stocking up ahead of time.  The following comes from CNN…

Household products — including paper towels and Clorox wipes — have been difficult to find at times during the pandemic, and if grocery stores aren’t stocked up and prepared for second wave this winter, runs on products and shortages could happen again.

During a time when other retailers all over the nation are failing at a pace that we have never seen before, many grocery store chains are actually experiencing booming sales.

And of course I have been warning that this would eventually happen for a very long time.  During a time of crisis, demand for food and other essentials tends to go up and demand for non-essential items tends to go down.

Needless to say, this is something that is not just happening in the United States.  All over the world we have seen demand for food on the rise, and this comes at a time when global food production has become increasingly stressed.

As a result, food prices all over the world are starting to escalate quite aggressively…

Food prices continue rising during the coronavirus pandemic, jeopardizing food security for tens of millions worldwide.

On Thursday, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations said world food prices rose for the fourth consecutive month in September, led by surging prices for cereals and vegetable oils, reported Reuters.

FAO’s food price index, which tracks the international prices of the top traded food commodities (cereals, oilseeds, dairy products, meat, and sugar), averaged 97.9 in September versus a downwardly revised 95.9 in August.

Sadly, this is just the beginning.

Global food supplies will continue to get even tighter, and global demand for food will just continue to shoot higher.

So I would stock up while you still can, because prices will never be lower than they are right now.

Meanwhile, our society continues to unravel right in front of our eyes.  You would think that the Lakers winning the NBA title would be a time to celebrate for the city of Los Angeles, but instead large crowds of young people used it as an opportunity to riot and attack police officers…

A crowd of more than 1,000 revelers descended into the area around Staples Center after the game. Unruly individuals mixed within the crowd began throwing glass bottles, rocks, and other projectiles at officers. That is when an unlawful assembly was declared, and only a limited number of people complied and began to disperse. A larger portion of the group broke off and began vandalizing businesses while continuing to engage in violent behavior, some aimed at responding officers.

In Portland, protesters just toppled statues of Teddy Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln during a “day of rage”, but the mainstream media didn’t seem to think that this was any sort of a problem.

And in the middle of the country, the violence never seems to stop in the city of Chicago…

Five people were killed and 48 others were injured by gunfire this weekend in Chicago. Five of those wounded were teenagers.

Last weekend saw 37 people shot throughout the city, five of them fatally.

Of course things could soon get a whole lot worse.

According to one recent survey, 56 percent of all Americans expect “an increase in violence as a result of the election”.

Isn’t that incredibly sad?

Many are still hoping that such a scenario can be avoided if one of the candidates is able to build an extremely large lead on election night.  A large enough lead could potentially cause the candidate that is behind to concede fairly quickly, and that may ease tensions.

But I wouldn’t count on that.

At this point we are about 500 hours away from the election, and both sides are indicating that they are prepared to fight until the bitter end.

And the side that ultimately ends up losing is likely to throw a massive temper tantrum, and that won’t be good for our country at all.

So it makes sense that so many Americans are making extra preparations for the months that are ahead, because it definitely appears that they could be quite rocky.
