Soros Appoints Chair of Smartmatic Parent Company as Head of His Foundation
Mark Malloch-Brown’s ties to the lawsuit entangle Smartmatic company is more fuel for the fire of speculation that the 2020 election was anything but fair and square.
Billionaire leftwing activist George Soros has appointed the Chairman of the London based SGO group, which happens to be the parent company of Smartmatic, to be the new leader of his Open Society Foundations.
Smartmatic is one of two companies named in Attorney Sidney Powell’s Michigan lawsuits where she alleges that Smartmatic tabulation software, in tandem with hardware from Dominion Voting Systems, helped facilitate voter fraud.
Powell’s complaint cites a whistleblower’s affidavit alleging that Smartmatic software has been used in the past to manipulate Venezuelan elections in favor of Hugo Chavez.
“Smartmatic and Dominion were founded by foreign oligarchs and dictators to ensure computerized ballot-stuffing and vote manipulation to whatever level was needed to make certain Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez never lost another election,” the complaint reads.
It goes on to add that a “core requirement of the Smartmatic software design ultimately adopted by Dominion for Michigan’s elections was the software’s ability to hide its manipulation of votes from any audit.”
In a December 4 press release, Soros’ Open Society Foundation announced that SGO Chairman Mark Malloch-Brown would replace the foundation’s current sitting president at the start of the new year:
Patrick Gaspard has announced his decision to step down as president at the end of the year. During his three-year tenure, he confronted significant threats to open societies around the globe, including the rise of authoritarian regimes and the spread of the COVID-19 virus worldwide. Under his capable leadership, the Open Society Foundations have emerged stronger than ever.
Succeeding him as president will be Mark Malloch-Brown, the former UN deputy secretary‐general and UK minister, who currently serves on the Foundations’ Global Board. Malloch-Brown will take over effective January 1.
With Smartmatic being so close to the center of the anomaly ridden election, and with Soros’ being a big time Democratic donor – having gave $505,600 to Biden’s joint fundraising committee with the DNC along with many more millions to other election causes – the news of the appointment of Malloch is sure to be gas dumped on the fire of speculation that powerful political players had a hand in swinging the election in Joe Biden’s favor.
On the other hand, the New York Times has reported that speculation of Soros having influence over the operations of Smartmatic have been debunked:
Speculation that Mr. Soros has any influence over Smartmatic or its operations has been thoroughly debunked, and he does not own the company. Mr. Soros’s distant connection to the company is through his association with Smartmatic’s chairman, Mark Malloch-Brown, who is on the board of Mr. Soros’s Open Society Foundation
Soros has a long history with his newly appointed foundation chair as Malloch was part of the Soros Advisory Committee on Bosnia and also is a member of the executive committee of the International Crisis Group, an organization he co-founded in the 1990s and built with funds from George Soros’ personal fortune.
In 2007 Soros appointed Malloch vice-president of his Quantum Funds, vice-chairman of Soros Fund Management, and vice-chairman of the Open Society Institute.
