Fauci Says US Won’t Return to “Normal” Until End of 2021, Masks Will be Commonplace as in Asia
Fauci’s timeline echoes that of self anointed COVID authority and Microsoft founder Bill Gates …
Dr. Anthony Fauci believes that the United States won’t go back to life as it was before COVID-19 social and economic restrictions until the end of 2021 or, possibly, sometime in 2022.
He made the statement while speaking on a teleconference interview for the University of Melbourne where he defined “normal” as members of the public being able to attend movie theaters without fear of infection and restaurants being able to open at 100% capacity.
“I think it will be easily by the end of 2021 and perhaps even into the next year before we start having some semblances of normality,” Fauci said.
According to Fauci, the way people interact will be changed beyond the pandemic with mask wearing becoming a commonplace as it is in Asian countries.
“I think one of the things that will be clear is that our sensitivity to the potential, devastating effects of a pandemic will be extraordinarily heightened,” he continued. “I don’t think that we will have the normal way of interacting with each other, particularly in the sense of wearing masks, which I think will become very commonplace as it is in many countries in Asia even outside the context of a pandemic outbreak.”
Fauci’s timeline echoes that of self anointed COVID authority and Microsoft founder Bill Gates who said that normality will not return until the end of 2021 when he believes there is likely to be widespread adoption of a coronavirus vaccine.
Earlier in the week, Dr. Fauci had endorsed a nationwide mask mandate for the first time, saying: “We’ve got to do something different. We can’t just let this happen … And that’s the reason why I say you’ve got to do these things. You’re using the word mandating masks, yes if that works, let’s do it.”
