After introducing him as “America’s doctor,” MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan asked Fauci, “What is the message to vaccinated and unvaccinated Americans as to what they should and should not be doing right now? For example, eating and drinking indoors in restaurants and bars — is that OK now?”

Fauci responded:

“No, it’s still not OK for the simple reason that the level of infection, the dynamics of infection in the community are still really disturbingly high,” Fauci advised. “Like just yesterday, there were close to 80,000 new infections, and we’ve been hanging around 60,000, 70,000, 75,000.”

“America’s doctor” would go on to add:

“So, if you’re not vaccinated, please get vaccinated as soon as vaccine becomes available to you, and if you are vaccinated, please remember that you still have to be careful and not get involved in crowded situations, particularly indoors where people are not wearing masks,” he stated. “And for the time being, until we show definitively that a person who’s vaccinated does not get this subclinical infection and can spread to others, you should also continue to wear a mask.”

While Fauci seems to only be able to push experimental, in-trial vaccines on the public, with no advice on how to treat or prevent infections outside the jab, we can’t help but highlight again the testimony from professor of medicine at Texas A&M, Dr. Peter McCullough, in front of the Texas senate earlier in the month where he stated that there is “no scientific rationale” for people under 50 with no health risks to ever become vaccinated for COVID-19.

During his testimony, McCullough also focused in on the censorship of COVID treatments from Big Tech social media, saying that if information on treatments could have been widely disseminated and used on patients, fatalities from COVID-19 could have been reduced by 85% .

One individual was arrested in late January while attempting to illegally enter the country. The other was apprehended in late March. In addition to being on terror watch lists, both men were on the U.S. No-Fly List, CBP also said. – Just the News

As of Wednesday morning, an “access denied” message appears on the page where the report was originally posted on the CBP’s website.

Addressing the current status of the press release on Tuesday night, an agency spokesman said it was scrubbed because it “was not properly reviewed and contained certain disclosure and policy information related to national security.”

The removal of the post sparked a response from Republicans on the House Homeland Security Committee:

And this isn’t hyperbole,” O’Rourke told MSNBC on Wednesday when asked why he believed Texas Governor Greg Abbott made the decision to lift the statewide mask mandate and allow all businesses to reopen at full capacity.

“You heard our lieutenant governor, arguably one of the most powerful positions in the state of Texas, say on Fox News at the beginning of the pandemic, ‘We are willing to die. Old people are willing to sacrifice their lives in order for the economy to reopen,'” he went on.

Governor Greg Abbott announced the decision to lift the Covid restrictions on Tuesday amid declining state hospitalizations and infection rates.

“Too many Texans have been sidelined from employment opportunities; too many small-business owners have struggled to pay their bills,” the Republican governor said. “It is now time to open Texas 100%.”

As Zero Hedge notes, “new Covid-19 cases in Texas dropped to a five-month low of 1,637 on Monday, state health department figures showed, while virus hospitalizations slipped to the smallest tally since Oct. 28. This comes as Texas is administering more than 1 million Covid-19 vaccinations weekly, according to Abbott.”

Abbott’s decision also drew ire from unpopular California Governor Gavin Newsom who called the decision “Absolutely reckless.”

Under the new rules, international travelers coming into Israel will have two choices; either quarantine in an “army hotel” or wear the tracking device bracelet during a ten day quarantine at home.

Video from RT shows travelers being equipped with the “freedom bracelet” at the Ben Gurion airport on Monday.

The device, which resembles a smart watch, is being produced by a company called SuperCom that has previously worked with governments of several countries on systems to track and monitor prisoners, reports Summit News.

CEO of SuperCom, Ordan Trabelsi, says the name for the bracelet is fitting because it allows travelers to avoid being locked up for simply entering the country.

Nothing screams freedom more than that …

“We call it a ‘freedom bracelet’ because we are not locking anybody up, but rather giving them the opportunity to go home,” Trabelsi said.

“Nobody is forced to do it, but for those who are interested, it gives them another option: more flexibility,” he added.

As Summit News further notes:

The development comes at the same time as a court ruling demanding that the country’s domestic spy agency the Shin Bet must back off Covid-19 contact-tracing surveillance.

The court ruled that the efforts are “draconian” and a threat to democracy in the country, and can only be used in emergencies.

Israel is also operating a two tier society where those who have been vaccinated have a ‘green pass’ to go where they want, and those who haven’t must stay under lockdown.

The move by Israel is just the latest over-the-top decision by governments to relinquish individual liberty at the expense of a virus that poses virtually no threat to the lives of those in general good health under the age of 70 years old.

As we highlighted last month, the United Kingdom has started forcing international travelers from a list of 33 countries to quarantine in a government-sanctioned hotel for over a week or face a large fine.

Travelers entering the UK from any country on the government’s new “red list” must pre-book and pay £1,750 ($2,120) to stay in a sanctioned hotel, an order which amounts to a large tax burden on travelers and will likely be another blow to the desperately struggling travel industry.

If the quarantine order is broken, the government is ready to issue a £10,000 ($12,114.90) fine.

If a traveler is found to be lying about where they are coming from, they will also face a £10,000 fine and potentially up to ten years in prison.

This week, Brussels announced it is set to propose a digital vaccination passport across the European Union,.

“As for the question of what the digital green passport could look like: we will submit a legislative proposal in March”, European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen said Monday.

Dr. Cliff Lane, who serves as deputy director for clinical research at the National Institutes for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, was asked by a WHO technical officer to sign a confidentiality form and a disclosure of interest (DOI) approved by Chinese authorities, according to a Feb. 15, 2020 email obtained by Judicial Watch and first reported on by the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF).

“The forms this time are tailored to China’s terms so we cannot use the ones from before,” Mansuk Daniel Han, a technical officer at WHO’s headquarters in Switzerland, wrote to Lane.

The DCNF reports that Han had asked Lane to complete a DOI along with the confidentiality form.

While it remains unclear what restrictions Beijing included in its confidentiality forms, Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton believes the email signals that Fauci’s National Institutes of Health folded to China’s effort of controlling information about the virus.

“These new emails show WHO and Fauci’s [National Institutes of Health] gave special accommodations to Chinese communist efforts to control information about COVID-19,” Fitton said.

As the Daily Caller‘s Chuck Ross notes:

The Chinese government has maintained a tight grip on scientists both inside and outside China studying the virus.

Chinese officials have been accused of silencing doctors, whistleblowers and journalists who tried to alert the public about the virus in December 2019.

Beijing also delayed a World Health Organization team that visited Wuhan last month to investigate the origins of the virus. On Jan. 4, WHO director general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called the setback “disappointing.”

The team was able to visit Wuhan last month, but some scientists on the mission said Chinese authorities had refused to turn over raw data on early coronavirus patients in Wuhan.

As we highlights at the end of 2020, the Chinese government has indeed been working diligently to squash investigations outside of its control as health officials around the world struggle to assemble a ‘natural origin’ theory for COVID-19. An Associated Press investigation labeled the hunt for valid information regarding the virus in China as “a black hole of no information because of political sensitivity and secrecy.”

A bat research team visiting recently managed to take samples but had them confiscated, two people familiar with the matter said. Specialists in coronaviruses have been ordered not to speak to the press. And a team of Associated Press journalists was tailed by plainclothes police in multiple cars who blocked access to roads and sites in late November.

More than a year since the first known person was infected with the coronavirus, an AP investigation shows the Chinese government is strictly controlling all research into its origins, clamping down on some while actively promoting fringe theories that it could have come from outside China. –Associated Press

China’s clear reluctance to be transparent has even sparked a rebuke from the Biden Administration.

“They’re about to come out with a report about the origins of the pandemic in Wuhan, China, that we have questions about because we do not believe that China has made available sufficient original data into how this pandemic began to spread both in China and then eventually around the world,” National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said of the WHO during a Feb. 21 interview.

When the DCNF reached out to the WHO for a comment on the email, they received no response.

According to company CEO Saylor, each bitcoin was purchased at an average price of $52,765.

MicroStrategy now holds 90,531 bitcoins, having purchased a total of $2.171 billion of the cryptocurrency at an average price of $23,985 since starting its allocation in August.

The move sent the company’s shares 8% higher in premarket trading, reports Reuters.

MicroStrategy’s latest crypto purchase comes on the heels of a company decision to issue $1.05 billion of convertible debt to purchase more bitcoin.

On Tuesday, Jack Dorsey’s company Square revealed in its fiscal fourth-quarter financial report that it bought approximately 3,318 bitcoins for $170 million, in yet another strong sign bitcoin is maintaining its recent appeal to institutional buyers.

“Aligned with the company’s purpose, Square believes that cryptocurrency is an instrument of economic empowerment, providing a way for individuals to participate in a global monetary system and secure their own financial future,” Square said in a statement, further add that it plans “to assess its aggregate investment in bitcoin relative to its other investments on an ongoing basis.”

At the time of writing, bitcoin is down approximately 14% from its recently achieved all time high of $58,321, trading at $49,530.

Year to date, bitcoin is up over 400%.

“We are looking carefully, very carefully, at the question of whether we should issue a digital dollar and it’s something that central banks around the world are looking at,” Powell said before the Senate Banking Committee on Tuesday.

“The technology now enables us to do that and it also enables private sector actors to create their own kind of digital quasi-money type of instruments,” he continued.

Powell would mentioned that if the Federal Reserve is to move ahead with a digital dollar the bank would have to make sure it is done correctly considering the U.S. dollar is the world reserve currency.

“We are the world reserve currency and we have a responsibility to get this right. We don’t need to be the first.”

He also admitted that the idea is something the Fed is “investing time and labour in.”

Central banks around the world have grappled with the idea of issuing a digital form of currency and some have even followed through with the idea. For example, the Central Bank of The Bahamas launched a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) in October called the Sand Dollar.

Morocco’s central bank, Bank-Al-Maghrib, is also considering issuing its own CBDC.

Most notably in the realm of CBDCs, the Chinese government launched a pilot program in 2019 for a digital version of the yuan. The experimental program recently got a boost into the mainstream economy when China’s biggest online retailer announced it has developed the first virtual platform to accept the digital currency.

“The digital currency is nothing more than a virtual banknote or coin that exists in a digital wallet on your smartphone instead of a billfold or a purse. The value of the digital currency is backed by the state, just like traditional fiat currency,” Schiff Gold reported.

Reuters called the digital yuan “one of the world’s most advanced ‘central bank digital currency’ initiatives, as authorities globally respond to threats from private currencies such as bitcoin and Facebook’s Libra.”

While the idea of a digital currency seems fitting for the digital age we live in, there is worry about the privacy and government control implications of such currencies going live and replacing physical cash.

The government can easily track digital payments. As Bloomberg put it in an article published when the pilot program was launched, digital currency “offers China’s authorities a degree of control never possible with physical money.” Specifically, a digital currency might allow the Chinese government to more closely monitor mobile app purchases,  accounting for about 16% of the country’s GDP Bloomberg describes just how much control a digital currency could give Chinese officials.

It’s easy to shrug off China’s experimentation with digital currency as something going on “over there,” but US policymakers like the idea too. In fact, they have already toyed with the idea of a digital dollar. A Democratic proposal for stimulus payments in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic featured digital currency deposited into digital wallets. Some officials admitted it would potentially allow the government to control how the money was spent.

Infamous gold bug and the virtuoso of triggering bitcoin hodlers, Peter Schiff, claims MicroStrategy CEO, Michael Saylor, has refused to debate him and implies Saylor is “trying to con CEOs into buying valueless digital tokens.”

“Michael Saylor refused an invitation to debate me from a pro-#Bitcoin moderator. I had already agreed to participate. I don’t blame Saylor for chickening out,” Schiff tweeted Monday.

“If I was trying to con CEOs into buying valueless digital tokens for $50K each I wouldn’t want to debate me either,” he continued, referring to bitcoin.

Saylor’s company MicroStrategy recently held a virtual conference titled “Bitcoin for Corporations“ where the company shared strategies on acquiring and using bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset with over 1,000 firms.

According to Saylor, the bitcoin themed conference attracted more CEO attention than any of his company’s prior events.

Notably, representatives for Elon Musk’s SpaceX attended the event which took place just days before Tesla announced a $1.5 billion investment in bitcoin.

MicroStrategy disclosed in August 2020 that it had added bitcoin to its balance sheet. The move marked only the beginning of the company’s allocation into the cryptocurrency as it now holds more than 70,000 BTC.

MicroStrategy has also recently completed a $1.05 billion convertible debt offering to buy more bitcoin.

While there is no public response to Schiff from Saylor yet, it is reasonable to believe that he will respond at some point.

Saylor has been consistently laying out his perceptions of bitcoin’s value proposition on various channels, both big and small, having become an evangelist for the cryptocurrency which he describes as a well engineered monetary system that serves as a superior store of value than traditionally held assets like Gold and the U.S. dollar.

Schiff on the other hand has been very driven to convince the social media verse that bitcoin has no value.

When responding to a recent tweet from Elon Musk, Schiff alluded that bitcoin is nothing but a worthless, frivolous scheme.

Schiff’s almost daily bearish tweets of bitcoin normally spark an outraged response from believers in the digital asset.

The gold bug argues that bitcoin can’t possibly have value since it is only digital while evangelizing for gold as the best form of money and best vessel to store value with.

Despite Schiff’s relentless campaign to convince the world that bitcoin has no value, his words have fallen on deaf ears as Mastercard, PayPal, Square, Tesla, BlackRock, and multiple university endowments now hold or support bitcoin.

The “Cuomo administration’s alleged misreporting of nursing-home deaths in New York is serious, perhaps meriting federal criminal charges,” Daukas wrote in a piece published in the Wall Street Journal on Sunday.

Daukas say the Governors executive order on March 25, 2020 requiring New York nursing homes to admit hospitalized patients who had tested positive for COVID-19 “led to many more tragic and unnecessary deaths than were reported to the public.”

“And his administration appears to have engaged in a coverup designed to frustrate the federal government’s oversight efforts,” Daukas wrote.

On February 11th, the New York Post had reported that Cuomo’s top aide, Melissa DeRosa, privately apologized to Democratic lawmakers over a decision to withhold the state’s nursing-home COVID-19 death toll out of fear that it would be “used against us” by the Trump Justice Department.

“We were in a position where we weren’t sure if what we were going to give to the Department of Justice, or what we give to you guys, what we start saying, was going to be used against us while we weren’t sure if there was going to be an investigation,” DeRosa reportedly said during a private zoom call.

“We froze,” DeRosa said.

It was also revealed in a report from the Associated Press that that the Cuomo administration sent over 9,000 elderly coronavirus patients back to their long-term care centers while the administration reported these facilities had only admitted 6,000 patients.

As we highlighted last week, a group of Republican Senators had penned a letter demanding a full investigation into the recent revelations that Cuomo’s administration may have deliberately covered-up nursing home deaths.

The letter would label the action of hiding the death data as “very possible criminal.”

“These new revelations, however, that Governor Cuomo’s administration withheld information from the Department of Justice and intentionally misled federal officials to avoid political accountability is more than irresponsible: it is very possibly criminal,” the GOP letter goes on, adding:

“Those who deliberately withheld—or directed others to withhold—material
information from the Department of Justice may be guilty of obstruction of justice, violating the
False Claims Act, and numerous other criminal violations.”

Daily Caller further reports:

The State of New York only counted coronavirus patients who died in nursing homes as coronavirus deaths, unlike every other state. The other 49 states count any individual who contracted coronavirus in a nursing home and subsequently died from it as a nursing home death, even if the person died in the hospital.

New York political figures are also investigating the nursing home order. State Attorney General Letitia James found that the Cuomo Administration deliberately under-counted nursing home deaths by as much as 50%.

The state legislature is “inching toward” impeaching Cuomo for the nursing home scandal, Queens Democrat Ron Kim said Feb. 19. Kim said Cuomo threatened to “destroy” him in a private phone call at the state assemblyman’s home if Kim did not stop asking questions and publicly criticizing the governor’s handling of the nursing home data.

According to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen, 63% of Americans say increasing government’s power means individuals will enjoy less freedoms, while only 22% disagree with that proposition.

Meanwhile, 15% of those polled were “not sure.”

As Just the News reports:

The responses by party affiliation were largely as expected, with a higher percentage of Republicans than Democrats expressing concern about the loss of individual freedom. However, some of the responses appeared unexpected:

Seventy-nine percent of Republicans said more government means less freedom, but a near-majority Democrats – 49% – also had that concern, as did 50% of “somewhat liberal” respondents. 

When considering that government growth in the United States is constant – as can be seen with recent calls for expanding terror laws domestically, the Orwellian idea of installing a “reality czar,” and the passage of legislation to form a federal commission to consider racial reparations – the results of the poll are unsurprising, and in fact, a continuation of what appears to be long standing concern amongst Americans.

In 2019, a poll by Harris Poll/Purple Project, which surveyed 2,002 people nationwide, found that 92% of Americans were concerned their rights were being jeopardized. Specifically, Americans were highly concerned with maintaining their freedom of speech, right to bear arms, and ability to receive equal treatment under the law.

The Harris Poll/Purple Project results came out one week after it was revealed by the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education that at least 6.4 million students at nearly 500 campuses in the U.S. have experienced their freedom of speech being restricted, reports Zero Hedge.

Also in 2019, Reporters Without Borders dropped the U.S. to No. 48 out of 180 on its annual World Press Freedom Index, three ranks lower than the previous year.

“Never before have US journalists been subjected to so many death threats or turned so often to private security firms for protection,” the press freedom watchdog stated.

In 2020, Reporters Without Borders ranked the U.S. 45th on their Press Freedom Index, behind countries such as South Korea, Australia, and Taiwan.

The optics of a militarized police state in Washington D.C. and razor fencing around the Capitol building in 2021 also surely isn’t helping Americans hold on to the belief they live in the most free country in the world …
